CBS Minnesota

Web Administrator + Designer

1. Case study

In 2010, CBS Corporation unveiled an initiative to convert all nationwide station websites to a WordPress CMS platform. As part of this initiative, I was involved in the preplanning design and deployment teams for 116 CBS radio stations in 26 media markets. As of 2017, this blog layout remains the widely adopted format for all station websites.

2. Result

During the preproduction of the WordPress transition, numerous iterations of mobile layouts and UX designs were routed and reviewed. The entire project spanned 12 months in duration with an additional post-launch project for beta testing and redesigning. Within this same time frame, 102.9 LITE-FM was retired as a radio station format. I assisted in the transitional team for rebranding and relaunching 102.9 LITE-FM as KMNB (102.9 FM, "BUZN' Country").

3. Experience

During my time at CBS Minnesota, I helped assist in the overall success of the station websites and web marketing. With overly 4 million weekly listeners, BUZN' continues to remain one of the Top 20 Leaders in country music stations. In 2011, WCCO was awarded the Marconi Award for Large Market Station of the Year.
