Capstone Kids

Licensed Brands Microsites & Landing Pages

1. Case study

In 2009, Capstone Publishers launched Capstone Kids — a brand dedicated to promoting titles specifically designed for child educational and entertainment. With each Capstone Kids title, a respective landing page (or brand page) was designed to showcase the publication.

2. Result

During my tenure as Capstone's solo web designer and developer, I produced over 40 of the 70 Capstone Kids character/brand pages. In addition, I contributed to the Adobe Flash animation elements of the website including the "Make Stuff" tutorials and the primary website navigation.

3. Experience

Each branding page required its own unique web marketing campaign. On multiple occasions, a kick-off meeting would begin a 1 to 2 month process of developing content for the designated book title. Working in conjunction with print designers and editorial, I was able to design rich, cohesive, and engaging web marketing content to support the Capstone Kids brand. My responsibilities included designing the content in Photoshop, developing the web pages in HTML/CSS and updating the Adobe Flash elements per applicability.
